We’re looking to add to this talent pool a big data and cloud computing manager, who will be a key influencer of our digital identity. This is an opportunity to develop innovative big data analytics tools and solutions and work on the latest cloud and VM technologies. The Ideal Experience Map:

9+ years of experience in the role of implementing high-end data analytics solutions focused in areas of big data and cloud computing, data lake, real-time and streaming applications with demonstrated ability to drive new and novel solutions

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a seasoned team manager, with an experience of handling teams of 20+ experts and technology specialists

Roles and Responsibilities:

• As part of our Technology / Solution leadership team, you will need to work directly with clients (including Directors and VPs) to understand long term strategic and mid-term business goals. You will be conceptualize, design, and oversee implementation of solutions using scalable software architecture design
• Visualize and evangelize next generation infrastructure in Big Data space (Batch, Near Real-time, Real-time technologies)
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise, and drive thought leadership in building capabilities through proper feasibility analysis and capability planning
• Continuously be abreast with new products, evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms
• Initiating and participating during designs, development, and implementation phases of various projects
• Work on unstructured problems, provide solutions that go beyond traditional methods - using advanced technologies and new data sources
• Provides technical leadership in Big Data space across engagements and contributes to open source Big Data technologies

People Management:

Working with leadership team to define the agenda for next generation analytics, using knowledge of the latest industry practices

Manage big data analytics technology team and handpick the technology and team members as per project demands

Technical Skills:

• Identify and work upon incorporating non-functional requirements into the solution (Performance, scalability, monitoring etc.)
• Evaluate and recommend Big Data technology stack best suited for customer needs
• Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of architecture
• Provides strong technical leadership in adopting and contributing to open source technologies related to BigData across multiple engagements
• Designing /architecting complex, highly available, distributed, failsafe compute systems dealing with considerable amount (GB/TB) of data
• Strong understanding and experience in distributed computing frameworks, particularly Apache Hadoop 2.0 (YARN; MR & HDFS) and associated technologies -- one or more of Hive, Sqoop, Avro, Flume, Oozie, Zookeeper etc.
• Experienced with data pipeline tools like Kafka, Storm, Spark Streaming
• Experienced with any of the databases like Parquet, Druid, MongoDB, NoSQL stores like Cassandra, HBaseetc
• Worked on various caching, queuing/messaging frameworks etc.
• Comfortable with setup, configuration and working of Linux
• Knowledge of scalable software architecture
• Familiar with agile development methodology

General skills that will boost your eligibility:

1. Experienced with cloud deployments in AWS, GCP or Azure
2. Experienced with functional programming languages, like Scala
3. Skilled with Java, Python frameworks and Web services
